What I suggest is:
You have several windows open. You flip and can see all window tiles being updated (not only the foremost), e.g.:
window 1 - tokyodownstairs.com loading ...
window 2 - stylekings.de loading ...
window 3 - a google search progressing ...
window 4 - a bbc article loading ...
window 5 - an archivator working with progress seen ...
when you press to flip, none of the windows has accomplished the task; in flip mode with these window's 3D tiles, you will be able to see ALL these 5 windows's progresses.
Being in flip mode, it would be more convenient to know window whoose task has been already accomplished and which user wishes to select.
It would be also nice to see window preview tiles continuously being REFRESHED. Would give a cooler 3D feeling with this feature.
These feature is present in Windows Vista, and it looks nice. It looks it could be implemented in WinFlip too.
As to being in flip mode for a long time ( I have been with Windows Vista Flip 3D and TopDesk ), you may just wish to get a great 3D feeling during a minute or two.
It is not bad on a dial-up connection to be seeing a webpage loading in flip mode, and being tired of work you may wish to sit back and relax with this feature as well.
I suggest this feature should be an option.
Currently, WinFlip is capable of updating ALL once when the flip starts. So, why not
OPTIONALLY CALL THE PROCEDURE TO REFRESH THE PREVIEWS ONCE IN A WHILE ?
This feauture is NOT MY idea and can be found in Vista and TopDesk.
Would be great for Expose-like TOO.
Now everybody knows what I am trying to suggest here, I hope.
