Welcome to the board, ErDracu!

Your problem is because WinFlip takes a shot of the current screen when it starts, and simply uses that image for the desktop tile and the flipping background. You may have noticed all the windows disappear for a split second when you run it after opening some applications.

To have it update the desktop background every time just before flipping would slow down flipping considerably - but we'll see what Koji thinks.

Thanks for your feedback,

 Roll Eyes

Hello ErDracu, hello Amos !

The problem with the "Desktop window tile" has been experienced and reported by a few users, including me.

If I may venture it:

The desktop wallpaper's FILENAME and LOCATION are stored in hard disk memory by Windows XP. When flip mode is requested, WinFlip could check the memory and copy the new wallpaper  ONLY  IF  the memory data differs from what WinFlip obtained on WinFlip's start. If the wallpaper data has not been changed, WinFlip needn't copy the same wallpaper image again.

The obvious problem with this is that if you accommodate one program, even if it is from Windows, everyone else wants you to make changes for the software they use that might have a small conflict with it. This is a surefire way of bloating a program.
