It´s great you take it that way Cheesy that´s why I like this forum, usually when you put XP against Vista in the ring it usually ends up in a flamewar, same with MS x Linux x MacOS.
Anyway did you try the Win7 beta? I would like to try it myself but I already have two OS on my system drive and I don´t want to put it on my Data drive. I just want to know if it is worth trying or is it just better to wait for a later RC, or final release.

I have not tried Windows 7, but I am determined to try it before the final, this one or a later build. I've seen many positive reviews in the web, and I'm tempted to try it myself. I remember early Longhorn 4000 builds, which were hardly even like Vista RC, yet I would like to try the 7 and sugest a few things.

Could be pros and cons:

- Microsoft themselves warn against using 7 beta as a reliable OS, and admit its glitcheness

- this one is only an early build and much different from what the final version will be

- as you mentioned, extra HDD partition is required

- suppose you even have permanent activation, then in time updates will still become incompatible with this beta version, or perhaps not a big issue for a beta testing

- there are lots of 7 reviews in the web, so you can probably get the idea without actual trying

- BUT if you want to submit bugs and suggestions, you should try it

Hi tech I´m not sure if we are allowed to discuss warez on the forum. I´m sure that if you use google you´ll eventually find something.

I'm afraid I can't. The thing is that Microsoft Windows Vista is a commercial OS and by law may not be distributed free of charge. Servers get persecuted for assisting in piracy.

As Leon has also mentioned, it is possible to find places with Vista .ISOs, but none of those locations would distribute Vista legally nor guarantee its safety nor integrity. I cannot take the responsibility that you download a virused or an incomplete .ISO.

Only if this is suitable to your needs, you may want to check out the full-featured freeware OS Linux.
