I like the mouse gesture, but it doesn't coop well with games, bombing you out of the game, either since you are making an accidental circle or you click on the "edge" of the screen while shooting a monster or putting something on the map in your game.

I don't know how to detect whether an directx is running fullscreen like a game or whether it is just the videoplayer in full screen. It should not disable at the video player example of course.

If that happens, i.e. Winflip tries to do it's work while a game is running leads to a Winflip which doesn't work (the screen just flickers and no 3D is dislpayed) until Winflip is restarted.
So maybe the solution for this is: Disable not only mouse gestures, disable Winflip at all if direct3D/directx is running.

Hi Setsunaaa Cheesy

Yeah, you are right.

Quote
disable Winflip at all if direct3D/directx is running.

This is a only way to fix this problem.
I'll try it.

Thanks for your suggestion Smiley

Good day Newbie, good day Koji !

I also like the idea of " disable Winflip at all if direct3D/directx is running " and hope it is implementable.  In addition and before it has been implemented, the WinFlip's tray options list should contain one more option - "Disable". This option should let user disable WinFlip manually and re-enable ("Enable") WinFlip when necessary.

So,

WinFlip tray options + "Disable/Enable".

Respectfully,

Good ideas. I would move some stuff off the context menu into the Options dialogue, and put an Enable/Disbale on. If it were me, I would take off Drop Frames When Slow, Anti-Aliasing, Display Type and Texture quality to simplify the menu, too.

Roll Eyes   I agree with you, Amos, and would prefer to have the most often used and needing to be quickly accessed options in the tray, and to have advanced and not very often changed options in the main program options window.

However, taking into consideration that the author is actively adding many features and options to WinFlip, I personally would leave all options as they are without changing them for a while until WinFlip has been added with almost all that we users and the author wants. Later We can bring up and vividly discuss the features's appropriate location.

So, I like the idea.

P.S.

I recall that someone of this messageboard users has noticed that occassionally WinFlip's tray icon leaves tray space (just like many other programs including TopDesk) - along with improving WinFlip's stability, it may be worth trying to program WinFlip to "defend" its icon in tray space. But to me it is not a signifficant inconvenience.  Roll Eyes

= Disable or Don't start flip when 3D full-screen mode is detected =

In some cases this would be a great feature to have. The algorythm could be:

- if flip is requested, check if the foremost window is 3D full-screen
- do not flip if the foremost (active) window is a 3D full-screen mode

Currently, I start a computer game and flip when I need to change task and get the Flip 3D absolutely fine:

Then I flip back to the computer game :

I only cannot see the game's wndow when in flip mode, which is not a big problem, maybe "3D full screen" could be spelled for it, or the application name.

But with some 3D games WinFlip crashes. So, to have this optional feature some day will be very good.
