When I execute the explorer process, and start it again, the only thing in my tray (not that there's so much in it) that does not pop up again, is WinFlip. WinFlip keeps running, but there's no tray icon refresh set, so the tray icon doesn't appear again, until a WinFlip restart.

hmm... i'm not sure but as much as i know this is not a winflip related issue... we have to blame microsoft for that Cheesy
currently i have got 22 systray icons! (i am using all of them..those i did not use are hidden or deactivated Smiley)
whenever explorer crashes and i have to relaunch it i maybe got 4 left Sad

Hi TheZeroorez Smiley

I think only some of app can come back to SysTray when explorer reloaded.
May be I have to learn a little bit about this to fix the problem.
I'm not sure I can do that or not. but I'll try Smiley

Thanks for the follow-up comment kHaN Smiley

Still, it looks some kind of strange that in here, uTorrent, Foobar2000, AVG, Comodo, USB, WhatPulse, Logitech G11 drivers, and GMail notifier (opensource, so check SF for the source Wink ) do pop up again, but WinFlip doesn't Tongue

just my 2c contribution but i remember that TopDesk had this 'bug' issue before, and they since released an update that fixed the 'lost systray icon in taskbar after explorer crash' so this issue does seem to have a fix. Smiley

Hello  TheZeroorez, kHaN, Koji, firecracker6,  and all users,

I too have experienced WinFlip icon leaving task tray after windows explorer crashes. On the other hand, having too many instances of WinFlip icon after WinFlip crashes is a bit of inconvenience as well. See the screen.

Would be great to fix both, but I shall admit that many other programs behave the same way (e.g. Nvidia, Creative).

Anyway, there were strides of improvement since this thread.
