When using WinFlip on Windows Vista Home Basic the start button shrinks(oddly the rest of the taskbar & icons remain the same size) and the top of the start button is cut-off, similar to the appearance of MSStyles emulating Vista.

I have attached a screenshot.

Can understand why the start orb gets cut-off in XP, but not Vista, and it's odd only the start button shrinks.

Any help much appreciated, Cheers

Thank you for reporting the bug !

Sorry for temporary inconvenience. In time, WinFlip will have full support for Windows Vista. The developer is aware.

For now:

- Try using WinFlip with Aero interface turned on.

- Try updating VGA drivers. This bug could be linked to the imperfect video driver, such as NVIDIA Forceware version before 160 and ATI Catalyst earlier than 7

Best regards.

Errr.... sorry but if I could turn Aero on then why on earth would I use WinFlip?

My drivers are fully updated, I have Vista Ultimate, the point is the graphics card in my laptop (Intel 915GMS) does not have WDDM drivers, hence I am stuck with the Basic theme and no DWM goodness, which is why I am using WinFlip

Cheers

Hi again, thank you for reporting !

WinFlip is not yet fully compatible with Windows Vista. Right now it is difficult to anounce exact date, but in near future WinFlip will fully support the new OS. It takes time to develop.

Regards.
