On windows vista flip 3d gives you a live preview of any program, can you do the same with winflip?  Grin

On a previous topic I started which was called windowblinds i asked on developer called Koji can you enable windowblinds om winflip
He said that you can't.Then I said how come flip 3d on vista enables windowblinds then he said that flip 3d shows everything  in realtime

Hi Tarame,

you are absolutely correct that I did say that Vista used a much more complicated DWM mechanism. Microsoft team was developing it for good 4 yrs. XP does not have DWM API, but It has PrintWindow API which can capture screenshots of windows. It is very hard (almost impossible) to write the DWM for XP, and this is why WinFlip uses PrintWindow. But unlike DWM, PrintWindow does not allow to capture DirectX rendering (e.g. movies), this is why WinFlip is not perfect.
