Hi Folks,
first of all I hell of a lot appreciate the fabulous work
you're doing here. But for the time being, I choose not
to install v.0.5 for two main functions I miss.
The first is a feature to auto-disable WinFlip when a full screen
3D application is present and I hardly miss a function
to hide the disturbing tray icon (options could be adjusted
by link or control panel instead).

So, waiting with my nails scratched in the table,
impatient like a child on christmas eve, I
would like to ask, if and when an new release can
be expected and what changes will or have been
included so far.

Cheers,
Julius

Thank you.

This feature will most likely be implemented, although there's no exact date for it.

to hide the disturbing tray icon (options could be adjusted
by link or control panel instead).

With the current version, the tray icon does two operations :

1. Invokes flip
2. Shows options

"Adjusted by link" sounds like a new suggestion, i.e. having another shortcut to open the WinFlip options dialogue (and the options dialogue would include the option to hide/show the tray icon).

The current lack of these features should not cause you much inconvenience :

1. Tray icon - it is very small and shouldn't annoy.
2. Direct3D display mode alongside WinFlip - just put the Direct3D application on the Exclusions list and set the same resolution in the application and in your desktop. Alt-Tab to desktop and then Win-Tab to flip. Or simply avoid flipping while Direct3D mode.

And until WinFlip becomes better, please abstain from "scratching" things.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Best regards.

Please consider Right Clicking in the System Tray and Customizing Notifications to hide the WinFlip tray icon.

I still don't understand which mind cripple at microsoft came up with the idea of using the right side of the taskbar for application to put their trash to. This certainly does not refer to Winflip, but name a reason for why anyone needs a real player, quicktime, nvidia or ati driver icon etc. pp.

In my case, I don't even see the tray Icons. First of all because I have not a single one running, visible or allowed and on the other hand, I am using ObjectDock as taskbar, which is not showing the Tray at all (at least not without using a third-party docklet)

Let's hope they implement the option of hiding it in future versions.

I think it's useful for system stuff (time, network status, battery life on a laptop) but gets 'spammed' by other programs that really don't need a tray icon (I would include WinFlip in this, to be honest).
