Thanks,

Hi IncomingF5, amos is right you should specificate which programs are not working so we can reproduce the problem and look for a solution. Right away I can tell you that some programs doesn't support properly PrintWindow function (for example all windows appliactions based on GTK+ enviroment (Gimp, OpenOffice, Pidgin, Xchat)) check http://winflip.stylekings.de/board/index.php/topic,187.0.html and http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6561377. You can have the same problem with your program. Video playback in flip mode is also not working. When you try to flip zoom player does it render whole window in black or only the part that is showing the video?

Hello incoming, hello Amos, hello Leon !

Incoming,

it is not unusual that you get black windows of certain applications - just use Options > Others > Exclusion Settings  to exclude the problem windows from the flip list.

If you would like to see movies while flipping, then you may want to try VLC media player.

Yeah, I have the same problem with bsplayer and media player classic. This has been discussed many times on this forum and as amos said, the only way to view video while flipping is currently through VLC player.

btw. you may want to check this as it looks like your problem http://winflip.stylekings.de/board/index.php/topic,44.0.html

Yes, VLC can show movie files in flip mode. It can render video output through DirectX Overlay mode (set by default).

I do not claim that VLC can show ALL possible media formats in flip mode, but I've personally played DVDs, MPEGs, AVIs, and WMVs no problem. I could even play my Avermedia TV through VLC.

When playing VLC in flip mode :

1. Make sure that NO other media players (or their tray icon agents) are running

2. The video output must be set by default to DirectX Overlay mode

VLC media player > Settings > Preferencies > Video > check Overlay Video Output

You'll get a flipped movie something like this :

You can resize video window and make it full-screen.
It looks great, not much worse than in Vista Flip 3D.

Enjoy WinFlip + VLC !
