Roll Eyes   I am very much impressed by Magic Formation, with all its features, especially its  U L T R A  stable work - it has not crashed a single time on my greatly overloaded machine, so I wish WinFlip would eventually become as stable and reliable as MF. So, my highest praises to  Y. Shinohara and K. Higashino.

Magic Formation is so convenient to use and so stable that I cannot report a bug or suggest much. Maybe not too hard to implement and reasonable to suggest would be:

1. Continuously update (refresh) the thumbnail image when tooltip is shown.

2. Enlarge an icon when mouse-pointing to it.
3. Add option to hide/display quick-launch letters.
4. Would be great if horizontal formation were split to several lines when many items cannot be fit to one line.
5. Would be great if MF's settings were saved right-away, without restarting MF.

Again, thank you for the very stable and convenient piece of software, Magic Formation.

My best regrds,

Roman.

I have to say, of the two applications, I use MagicFormation far, far more than I use WinFlip.

Look forward to any updates if and when they come.

Great application indeed as well as it is extremely stable:

It looks like Microsoft is deploying a very similar mechanism in Windows Seven (Codename Vienna):

Good luck everybody !     Cheesy

Hi Roman,

I'm very skeptical about those screenshots. The second one is probably fake. The first one, it's hard to tell, because the shot does not include much detail, but it looks surprisingly realistic and Windows-esque.

Generally, the shots on windows7screenshots.com are of poor quality and obvious fabrications. You can tell through graphics worse than that in Vista, through spelling mistakes, through references to the host site (eg OSBeta.com), through the use of languages other than English (Windows is developed in America!), and through blurriness or small size.

Perhaps the first one of yours is Windows 7?  It's impossible to be sure, but it's feasible, if unlikely. If so, Koji, you've got some competition! Tongue

Cheers,

- Amos

 Roll Eyes   Hello Amos !

The 1-st screenshot had been taken on my XP desktop, I thought it was obvious it is Magic Formation. The last two were taken from windows7screenshots.com, and I did provide the link.

Windows 7 is going to be much less in size than Vista or XP. This new OS will probably be for mobile systems but better than Tablet.

I just found the illustrative news and wanted to share. It looks much like MF, and MF had started long before anything else like.

I did not mean to suggest anything or start a competition here.

This new OS is deeply beta, so concepts will be adjusted, but I think the idea very similar to MF will be implemented there.

There are lots of such locations:
microsoftwindowsvienna.com
and I also noticed "foreign" lang in some screenshots - what could that be ?    Undecided

Regards.

You misunderstand me, sorry - I meant the first of the Windows 7 Screenshots.

Seven will be based heavily on Vista, but cleaner and (as you say) hopefully faster and lighter.

There are no official screenshots yet, but as I say, it will look a lot like Vista. Therefore any language other than English in a screenshot suggests it's a fake, basically.

Cheers, and sorry if you took offence - I didn't mean any!

No, I did not take any offence, I meant to show that MF idea is vivid and would probably be implemented in Windows 7.

True that there's not much officially revealed for Seven. Occasional information leaks can be possible due to "making [7] available for testing to a selected group of Microsoft partners."
